*looks at the date* Gods, I haven't updated this thing since January?! Oy.. time really does fly by when you're having fun. I'm still working at Birdsong, and still loving every minute of it. I really couldn't have asked for a better job. Everything about this place makes me smile. I'm slowly working on breaking through the Artist's Wall that has plagued me for the past year. I've got several projects in the works, so hopefully that will help. Currently, I'm in the middle of packing though. Moving to a new apartment. Today marks month 2 that I've worked here at Birdsong, and I'm still loving every single minute of my time here. There are lots of projects that I'm in the middle of. Among which are a complete remodeling of the gift shop, an historical restoration project to rebuild the old Blacksmith's shop over by the barn, and a complete overhaul of the newsletter. So yeah, I've got my hands full here. But it's FUN. I enjoy the work, I enjoy the chances that I'm having to learn new things... there has been nothing. It sure doesn't feel as if I've been working here for just over a month. I had to do a double take at the calendar this morning. This job is proving to be everything that I hoped it would be and more. There are opportunities to LEARN here.. new skills, new information.. I'm slowly learning the names of all of the birds, plants and various butterflies that are most common here. I'm learning to tell the difference between the species that are "local" and those just "paying a visit". I'm learning how to write grants, and how to be a basic accountant. I'm learning to refine my photography skills. and, with the pay that this job gives me, I'm
